Amanda gained invaluable professional experience during her twelve years at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, most recently as a senior supervisor overseeing the regulated activities of investment licensees and collective investment schemes. During her time at the GFSC, she also acted in an advisory capacity as a Member on Risk Governance Panels and was responsible for managing a number of problem cases, typically involving collective investment schemes. She has extensive first-hand knowledge of the GFSC’s PRISM Risk Based Supervisory Framework. Amanda played a role in the establishment of Guernsey’s AIFMD opt-in regime and had, before her departure, been considered the Commission’s expert on AIFMD-related matters.
Prior to joining the GFSC, Amanda worked for over 18 years at a Swiss Italian private bank in Guernsey in various roles. Before her departure, she was responsible for implementing the bank’s client take-on process, which involved risk assessing clients, obtaining and maintaining appropriate CDD material and monitoring transactions.
Amanda is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and has been awarded the CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance. She has also been awarded Certificates by the CISI in Investment Operations, Risk in Financial Services and Global Financial Compliance.
