With the new year we welcome a new face to the Cerberus team.  Amanda de Carteret has joined as a Senior Consultant specialising in governance, risk and compliance, with a particular focus on the investment sector.

Amanda has over 30 years’ experience in risk and compliance roles, gained in both the public and private sectors.  Most recently she spent more than a decade in the Investment Division at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission which has given her an invaluable insight into the operation of the financial services regulator, as well as involvement in a number of supervisory cases and policy projects.  The latter included a role in the establishment of Guernsey’s AIFMD opt-in regime and introducing the hybrid vehicle for use in the insurance-linked securities sector, amongst others.

Prior to joining the Commission, Amanda worked for more than 18 years in various roles for both investment firms and a private bank.  Her experience in the private sector helped her to understand the need to adopt a pragmatic approach to risk and compliance whilst ensuring effective adherence to regulatory obligations.

Through her role at Cerberus, Amanda is keen to use her experience and the knowledge gained to help boards fulfil their obligations and find solutions to their firms’ risk and compliance needs, whether preparing for a PRISM visit, completing a Risk Mitigation Programme or providing ad-hoc regulatory support.

If you’d like to know more about how Amanda could help your business, or to discuss your needs over coffee, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

At the start of December we also moved into our new office in Victoria House, giving us a central St Peter Port location as well as fantastic views over the Harbour and Castle Cornet.
